Ilizarov method can be usefully used for reduction and immobilisation of astragal's fractures. Reduction forces are supplied through insertion of crossed Kirschner wires, settled to the astragalo body and the fragment immobilisation has been maintained for two month ad during this time patients can load. We verified definitive consolidation with complete load after three month. This method can be alternative to normal surgical treatment expecially in cases in which skin condition discourage surgical reduction.
